Okayama Prefecture is well known in Japan for its aggressive IT initiatives, including regional communication infrastructure on its own funding IP. This prefecture has more recently turned its attention to IPv6 initiatives, one of which is IPv6 support in its prefecture-wide communication infrastructure.
